P5K Lapu-Lapu bill, medal up for sale

February 21, 2021 THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is now selling both the Lapu-Lapu banknote and the medal to the general public. This was announced by BSP Gov. Benjamin Diokno during this speech at the Ulat ng BSP sa Bayan on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021. “We would like to inform the public that they can now buy the Lapu-Lapu commemorative banknotes and medals starting today,” Diokno said. The P5,000 Lapu-Lapu banknote is for sale for P5,500 while the Lapu-Lapu medal is for sale for P3,500. BSP, however, said that due to the limited stocks, the central bank cannot guarantee that all orders will be serviced.
